Bialowieza Primeval Forest

Mark, Graham, Mike and Ian from England - we were dreaming about adding few new ticks on our life-list. First of all, we were keen to encounter several rarest European woodpeckers, Tengmalms owl and Hazelhen. So the choice could be only one: the Bialowieza Primeval Forest with Despite of really bad weather as for the second half of May, our trip was great! We saw almost every bird we wished to, except of Grey-headed woodpecker, although we have heard it calling nearby. Please find bellow some of the pictures illustrating that unforgettable birding trip.

It was rather cold and rainy but magnificent tree-stands, 400 years old oaks and rarest woodpeckers we have encounetred made us warmer and happier then ever!
